Overview

The CREATE framework can be applied to creative projects and initiatives within museums, cultural spaces, attractions, themed experiences, and beyond. This tool helps teams align, deliver and sustain their IDEA goals.

The five keystones of CREATE are:

  • Collaborate

  • Reflect

  • Engage

  • Act

  • Track

  • Evolve

When To Use This Toolkit

This toolkit is most effective when it’s introduced at the start of a project, however it can also be implemented in later stages.

Preparing To Use This Toolkit

Ensure key decision makers are committed to prioritizing diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility at every stage of the project. Start by aligning on clear goals that reflect these values.

Limitations

While this toolkit focuses on equitable project planning, it should be noted that a sustainable IDEA practice starts by addressing structural and systemic barriers within our organizations
