Role Description
As an IDEA Learning Specialist, you will work closely with the Manager of Education & Strategy to support various efforts, including research projects, educational content development, proposals, and presentations.
Anticipated commitment is 3-5 hours per week.
Responsibilities

Assist with research related to IDEA. Includes identifying reliable sources, annotating sources, and maintaining Big Break’s reference database.

Help develop educational content for Big Break’s IDEA Program and forthcoming video learning platform.

Develop open access content for Big Break’s social media channels and website. This may include social posts, infographics and articles.

Collaborate on the development of educational events, including speaking engagements and webinars, such as Big Break’s IDEA Exchange series.

Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to IDEA programs and initiatives.

Assist with other tasks related to IDEA learning as needed.
Qualifications

A passion for diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility.

Experience developing educational content or willingness to learn.

Ability to effectively extract and analyze information from a variety of materials and resources, including academic papers, market studies, webinars, and books.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Ability to work with a diverse range of staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

This is a professional volunteer position with an anticipated commitment of 3-5 hours per week. As an IDEA Learning Specialist, you will play an essential role in supporting Big Break Foundation's mission.
