Simone Bonnejonne

(She/Her)

Development Director (Co-Leader)

Simone Bonnejonne is a community-minded nonprofit professional with over a decade of experience in fundraising strategy, donor cultivation and stewardship, and network engagement. She began her career in the Jewish nonprofit space, where she worked on capital campaigns, led annual giving efforts, solicited funding, and helped connect donors to the missions of the organizations they supported. From there, Simone shifted her focus to the intersection of institutional giving and social justice work, mobilizing funders to invest in structural change work at Grantmakers for Southern Progress and driving philanthropic support for students in underserved communities at BellXcel. She is a born-and-raised Floridian passionate about creating an equitable and just future for all. Simone’s dedication to community extends beyond her nine-to-five. An avid volunteer, Simone is the immediate past Board Chair and current Advisory Council chair of SOJOURN, the Southern Jewish Resource Network for Gender and Sexual Diversity, and has served on numerous boards in leadership roles. Committed to life-long learning and growth, Simone has graduated from a number of cohorts including the Atlanta Black-Jewish Coalition’s Project Understanding, Supermajority’s Majority Leaders program, the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta’s Jacobson Leadership Institute, and The People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond’s Undoing Racism program. When she’s not collaborating with other community leaders, you can find Simone leading an intergenerational women’s book club, pin trading at Disney, or cooking up food and fun with her friends and family.
