About
Amy Arthur is an autism and disability support specialist working to bring genuine inclusion and accessibility to the experience industry — the theme parks, attractions, and Location-Based Experiences where families go to make their best memories. She came to this work through two doors at once: more than a decade of hands-on experience guiding children and families through Applied Behavior Analysis and inclusive school settings, and life as the mother of two children on the autism spectrum. That combination taught her that accessibility isn't a feature you add at the end — it is the experience.
As a paraprofessional in Delaware's Cape Henlopen School District, Amy supports students with autism by adapting communication, materials, and environment to each child's needs and tracking progress against IEP goals — this past year, all four students she supported advanced a grade level. Her career began in the attractions industry as an IAAPA Show Ambassador, and with an MBA and a Certified Autism Specialist credential (IBCCES, in progress), she is returning to that world carrying fifteen years of disability expertise. She makes the business case that designing for disabled guests isn't charity — it's strategy — and she would love to help this industry build a world that fits every family.
