Role Description

The Event Producer is responsible for the development, planning, and execution of online and offline events that support Big Break’s mission and vision. This role involves managing all logistical, creative, and operational aspects of events such as fundraisers, panel discussions, mixers, open houses, and more. The Event Producer works closely with staff, volunteers, and partners to bring events to life.

Anticipated commitment is 3-5 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of event production, from initial planning to on-the-day execution and post-event follow-up.

• In collaboration with Big Break staff and volunteers, coordinate event logistics, including schedules, venue selection, contracts, catering, and audiovisual needs.

• Develop and manage event budgets when applicable, tracking expenses and ensuring events remain within budget.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events across various channels.

• Collect and analyze feedback from attendees, staff and volunteers.

• Prepare post-event reports detailing outcomes, financial summaries, and recommendations for future events.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in event planning or related work (nonprofit experience a plus).

• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing challenges.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Passion for promoting inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in the Location-Based Experience industry.

This is a professional volunteer position with an anticipated commitment of 3-5 hours per week. As an Event Producer, you will play an essential role in supporting Big Break Foundation's mission.
