Role Description
The School Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for developing, managing, and nurturing partnerships between Big Break Foundation and local schools. This role focuses on building strong relationships with administrators, teachers, and staff to ensure that volunteer efforts align with school needs, and that volunteers are effectively integrated into the school environment. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and relationship-builder with experience in education, community engagement, and nonprofit operations.
Anticipated commitment is 4-5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Identify and establish partnerships with schools in Central Florida, placing special focus on schools in under-resourced communities.
Work closely with school administrators and teachers to assess the specific needs of each school and determine how volunteers can best support the school’s educational goals.
Serve as the primary point of contact between Big Break and the school partners, maintaining regular communication.
Regularly monitor school partnerships by gathering feedback from school partners and tracking volunteer performance and impact. Provide regular reports, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
Advocate for Big Break’s volunteer programs within school districts, participating in events, meetings, and other activities to engage new partners.
Qualifications
Experience in community engagement, partnership management, or volunteer coordination, preferably in a school or nonprofit environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with school administrators, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for promoting inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility in the Location-Based Experience industry.
This is a professional volunteer position with an anticipated commitment of 4-5 hours per week. As a School Partnerships Coordinator, you will play an essential role in supporting Big Break Foundation's mission.
